The last time I got up on a regular basis to workout was when I lived with my college roommate who would get up at 5:30am to get ready for spinning class. She made so much noise that I couldn't sleep anyway and ended up going too. It seemed an impossible task in the dead of winter, walking in the cold, dark streets to get to the gym. But once started, it really was a great way to start the day. (although I often took a nap between my after-gym-shower and my first morning class!)

I've been thinking about starting getting up again, but I just have not been able to do it. Of course I am used to working out or doing yoga almost every day after work. So I don't have to work out in the morning to fit it in.

I completely agree with this. I don't want to "make myself" exercise as that sort of goes against what they say with IE, but at the same time, I don't actually listen to my body and exercise it when I want to because the day's plans get in the way. It can be a really nice day outside and I'll want to go take a walk, but I still might not. I ignore that. I discovered a LONG time ago that working out in the morning is best for me. I really need to start instigating that again myself. Thanks for reminding me :)

I like the idea... there's something about starting your day off with exercise/meditation.

I'm getting over being sick, so my schedule is out of wack, but I'll give it a try.
